February & March 2022
Filmed all of my scenes for the Sci-Fi film: AURA. I’m so grateful I got to bring Kilo, the angry little badass, to life! Part of prepping for the role included a lot of martial arts and stunt training, and I can’t wait to see how the whole film turns out.
January 2022
Took a fun trip to Atlanta, and was able to meet some acting friends in person. Updated my headshots with the stellar ABM Photography, check ’em out:

Finished up a fun and exciting Sci-Fi class with the amazing Erica S. Bream of Erica S. Bream casting, and then won a giveaway to study with her and Cara Chute Rosenbaum for Co-Star roles.
Even more fun: I booked a Sci-Fi role directly after taking this class that shoots in 2022.

It’s been a GOOD month– booked two projects: a photoshoot and a commercial.
I’ve also been taking a little time to create films and scenes by myself, to keep learning about the camera and practice my talents as a storyteller and an actor.

Changing things up to challenge myself by making a comedy web series: Making It! I decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign on July 16, and the Universe granted that wish in ONE. WEEK. I am beyond grateful that 50+ people believed in me and this idea enough to crush our goal in less than seven days. So… we’re making the series!

I’m gearing up to direct Becca Brook’s vulnerable and powerful short film, Insomniac. I’m humbled that Becca chose me to bring her vision to life, and I can’t wait to shoot it in late January. I have the amazing Sheilava by my side, so I know it’s going to turn out fantastic!

In other great news, Positive, a short I collaborated on with Sheilava & Anton Savenko, has been rocking the festival circuit. If you would have told me that a short film I came up with almost on the fly was going to be an official selection at 10+ festivals and earn nominations for Best Director, Best Short, Best Song, Best Actress and Viewer Impact, I would have called you crazy. I’ve now received a “Best Female Director” award! Where’s that head exploding emoji when you need it?

I started up classes at Stella Adler’s LA program: the Art of Acting Studio! Despite a crazy year for everyone, I’m so grateful to take classes online from training programs I may not have had access to normally. I have learned so much in this Scene Study class with J. Claude Deering, where I worked on Diana’s monologue from Network (1976). It feels so refreshing to be constantly working on my craft.

A year passed between the concept and creation of my passion project, DAWN. My goal with this film is to inspire people to live in the moment and disrupt preconceived notions about how life is supposed to be, and make it what you want. NOW.
It was a lot of hard work to produce, direct and act in this one… but it was so worth it. My team was incredible and we are officially submitting it to festivals!

Allergies, a high-concept narrative dealing with issues of racism in the near future, has been making its way through the festival circuit! I was honored beyond belief to take the lead role in this film.

On August 31 at 12:02 a.m., this little guy came into the world.
And just two days before my due date, I filmed a commercial for Ascension Health System!

I booked and shot a fun YMCA commercial in Dallas, and got to work with the always pleasant Sydney Taleah again!
I also played Amanda in the short film ‘Plan C’ down in Houston and (surprise!) my character and I are both pregnant! You really have to get into these roles, you know?

I worked with an awesome team of women filmmakers on a short film entitled ‘Cleanse’ that deals with the concept of pranic healing, where I played the role of Jessica. It was an honor to play opposite Katy Atkinson. If you’ve never seen her act, you are missing out.

I returned to Houston to film a mob-style short film entitled, ‘The Contract’, directed by Zach Salazar.

I played the nerdy antagonist, Melissa Jones, in the short comedy film ‘Shh!’

Along with director Quinton Lowe, I filmed a short entitled, ‘Twelve’, where I played a young girl confused about her own depression.

We began filming Tatted Souls in Dallas! The story centers around a college student, Sarah O’Neill, who learns how to accept herself in the face of adversity.

Along with the help of a talented cast and crew, I wrote/directed and acted in Fate.
